The Vandal Bar is our tribute to the University of Idaho Vandals! The caramel flavored soft marshmallow bar is cast in the shape of an I, covered in premium milk chocolate and sprinkled with sea salt.

The sweet story: Once upon a time there were two Vandals that went way back. The men were from the same high school, the same fraternity, and the same university. You guessed it, they both are University of Idaho alumni and have the same passion for the mighty Vandals. Recently these Vandals reconnected – Scott Green, the president of the University of Idaho, and Dave Wagers, the president of The Idaho Candy Company - and the Vandal Bar was born.

“It is a true Vandal bar, the initial concept was developed by Vandals, and then we were able to bring in even more Vandals, even current students.” - Dave Wager.

About Dave Wagers:
Dave Wagers ’88 is a proud graduate of the U of I College of Business and Economics with a degree in finance. In 1984, his family purchased the oldest candy company in Idaho: the Idaho Candy Company (established 1901). Dave, aka The Candy Man, has been the president of the Idaho Candy Company since taking the reigns from his father, John Wagers in 1997.

In addition to his duties with the family business, Dave is very active in his community. For the past 7 and ½ years, he has served as a trustee with the Boise School District and recently won re-election. He has also served as a big brother with Big Brothers/Big Sisters and has been involved with both the Boise High and University of Idaho Lacrosse Clubs over the years. Dave and U of I President Scott Green were both Kappa Sigmas while attending the University of Idaho.
