Students Ordering Smarter Access to Your Course Materials


VandalStore Textbooks is a fully online service powered by VitalSource, the third-party partner selected by the University of Idaho and the VandalStore to manage all course materials. Visit uidaho.vitalsource.com to browse your personalized course materials, place your order and choose delivery to your home, campus address or the VandalStore in Moscow. Digital materials are delivered by email and/or integrated directly into Canvas for easy access.Just log in with your Vandal ID. It’s quick and easy.

Note: Physical textbooks are not kept in stock at the VandalStore but can be ordered online and shipped to the Moscow campus store for pickup.

How It Works
  • Visit uidaho.vitalsource.com to order online and have your textbooks shipped to you. (Digital course material access is emailed or available in Canvas after purchase.).
  • Students are encouraged to order textbooks before the semester begins and have materials shipped to their home, campus address or even directly to the VandalStore in Moscow.
  • All courses, required and optional materials and pricing options are shown on a personalized page when you log in with your student account.
  • Materials typically arrive within 5-7 business days to the Moscow VandalStore for pickup or to your selected delivery address.

Please note: Textbooks are not for sale at physical VandalStore locations but may be shipped to the Moscow store for pickup. Pick-up orders must be collected by the last day of finals. Vandal Day One Access (Inclusive Access) at the University of Idaho

Vandal Day One Access is a textbook affordability program that ensures students are ready to go on the first day of class with immediate access to their digital course materials. Available for selected courses, Day One Access is designed to make learning more affordable and convenient. The discounted cost is charged to your student account, so no separate purchase is required. Last semester, students saved an average of 23% on their Day One Access course materials.

What to Know About Vandal Day One Access

  • Your course materials will be available in Canvas starting the first day of class.
  • The discounted price is automatically applied to your student account.
  • Optional print or supplemental materials, if offered, can be purchased separately at uidaho.vitalsource.com.
  • Day One Access materials are free to access for the first 10 days of each semester. After the opt-out deadline passes, any applicable credit will be issued to your student account within 5 to 7 business days. Credits won’t appear before then to allow students time to decide whether to opt in or out.
  • If you accidentally opt out and need to be opted back in, please email [email protected] with the following information:
          • First & Last Name
          • Vandal ID
          • Email Address
          • Assigned Course(s) and Section(s)
          • Issue Description: I accidentally opted out of Inclusive Access and need to be manually added back.

    Please note: Late Day One Access charges will appear on your student account due to the manual reinstatement process. By requesting to be opted back in via email, you acknowledge and agree to these charges.
